The Newbery Award is presented each year to the most outstanding example of children's literature published that year. Among my favorite Newbery authors: Kate DiCamillo, Christopher Paul Curtis, Louis Sacher, Sharon Creech....and on and on! The list of Newbery Medal winners and Honor Books is available HERE.
